Britain’s best-loved sports car brand is back, and is now an official partner of independent British Le Mans Series squad Team RLR.
MG Motor UK is based in Birmingham in the West Midlands. Owned by SAIC, China’s largest car maker, with sales of 3.48 million vehicles last year, the MG brand has been rescued from the collapse of the previous owners in 2005 and thanks to huge investment, has a line up of all new vehicles, starting with MG6, coming to the UK and ultimately global markets over the next five years.
On the Birmingham site the design and engineering for a new generation of MG vehicles continues at a frenetic pace. The manufacturing facility produces the MG6 GT and the MG6 Magnette. MG Motor sells cars through a network of UK dealers, which continues to grow with the two new MG6 models.
